‘NCIS’ Star Emily Wickersham Lists Renovated 1930s Spanish Revival in Los Feliz
Emily Wickersham recently announced she’s departing “NCIS” eight years and 172 episodes after joining the CBS show as special agent Eleanor (Ellie) Bishop, the role for which she’s become best known. Now the veteran actress, who’s also appeared in “The Sopranos” and “Gossip Girl,” is making plans to scoot out of her Los Angeles abode as well, listing her delightful 1930s Spanish-style cottage in Los Feliz for just over $3.8 million.
Wickersham purchased the hillside home for $2.6 million in late 2019, picking up the place at a discount from Gary Oldman’s fourth ex-wife, singer/songwriter Alexandra Edenborough. Weighing in at 3,341 square feet, with four bedrooms and four baths, the home underwent a “thoughtful renovation while preserving historical details throughout” before Wickersham took up residence, with chic interiors that flaunt one-of-a-kind fixtures and décor by Alexandra Hayden of New York’s Octave Studio. For their part, the grounds were crafted by L.A.-based landscape designer Wade Graham.
The stucco and tile roof structure stuns from the outset with a private, gated courtyard sporting a water feature flanked by a terracotta bistro set shaded by a mature olive tree. Stone pavers lead to the front door, which opens to reveal a spacious living room accented by a massive semi-circular window, the original hardwood floors and an attractive wood-burning fireplace.
A step-up dining room allows the outdoors in via a wall of windows, while an adjacent kitchen updated with onyx cabinetry, a mosaic-tile backsplash, stainless appliances and a farmhouse sink is abutted by a cozy breakfast room lined with French windows.
The light-filled master suite boasts large windows overlooking the backyard, along with a walk-in closet, and a bath outfitted with dual vanities and a glass-enclosed shower. Three other bedrooms include one that has been converted into a sitting room, another that currently serves as a library, and a private lower-level casita that’s ideal for guests with its own kitchenette and bath.
Rounding it all out is the alluring backyard, which holds a heated pool, fireplace, and rebuilt pool house that makes for a picture-perfect entertaining area with its black-framed French doors, wood-pitched ceiling and skylights. There’s also a detached, two-car garage that’s been transformed into a creative space.
