Man Makes The World’s Biggest Bath Bomb At 2,000 Pounds And Drops It In His Pool

When it comes to crazy ideas, some people are just too talented in this aspect more than the others. We have seen plenty of DIY bath bomb videos online, and we know how it works. Once you drop it into the tub, it’s very relaxing as you watch it fizz and melt in the water. There is a rainbow of colors and amazing scents. Some even made them with glitter!

However, someone with a crazy idea decided to take the bath bomb idea to the next level. They made it bigger, and bigger!

Now, what will happen if they drop it in a pool? Will it be as relaxing and mesmerizing as the little ones?

In making bath bombs you will need:

Baking soda

Cornstarch or arrowroot

Citric acid

Salt

Essential oils

Dyes

Glitter (optional)

You have to combine the ingredients including baking soda, cornstarch, salt, and citric acid in a large bowl and mix it well. In a smaller bowl, you combine the oils that you want to use then add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, just a few drops at a time. You can mix well with your gloved hands and even add dried herbs if you wish to. The mixture will hold together when squeezed.

Put the mixture into molds and leave it for at least 24 hours or until it hardens. Once it’s dry, remove and store in airtight containers or bag and use it in 2 weeks.

Well, this is the ‘typical’ bathtub sized bath bomb.

Vat19 posted a video on Youtube showing their mega-sized bath bomb. They made this using 31 50-pound bags of ingredients in a jump fiberglass mold. Their recipe was one part cornstarch, one part citric acid, and two parts baking soda. They then added dye to make it black. They leave it to dry overnight and it all came out as a 2000lb bath bomb!

Once the BOMB is ready, they rolled it into the pool to see what would happen. As seen on the video, as soon as the water reached the bottom of the pool, the color of the water changed and it went fizzing, just like a giant bath bomb should when it dissolves.

Their video was just posted on the Vat19 channel on June 16, 2018, and to date has over 20 million views!

A lot of people were not impressed. Most of them think that this is surely going to destroy that pool filter or would take them weeks to try to filter all that out. One of the commenters wrote, “I have seen the video, but the bath bomb just seems like a waste of time.

According to this video, it takes a few days to even make the bath bomb. When the water turns black you also have to consider how long it is going to take to turn the water back to normal if you do not want to keep the water black especially in a large swimming pool. ”

While others hate, there are also others who defended Vat19 and the team with their decision in making this ginormous bath bomb. One person wrote:

“Why are people giving this so much negativity? It doesn’t affect you. They’re just having fun. Also, a lot of people find this entertaining. It’s their money, not yours. It’s their pool, not yours. Also, you say this is a massive cleanup, but an online store company did this so I’m sure they have the funds to clean it up.”
